Night of Mischief

In the 1930s and ’40s, U.S. newspapers began referencing Mischief Night, aiming to distinguish it from the more wholesome Halloween traditions of dressing up and gathering candy. As the night unfolded, eerie mannequins appeared by the indoor pool, while the haunting presence of the “Red Death” immersive floating theater bound the participants together in an uncanny embrace.
